🍃 Losses and wins
As I enter the most reflective phase for me this month, I wanted to take this time to remind ourselves of the concept of letting things be messy and imperfect.

Imperfect seems such a beautiful word.

Nothing can ever compare to how much freedom being imperfect can bring. (Click to tweet)

What have you been busy "doing" this week that made you forget about just "being" you?

Because, for sure, I've stressed myself these past few weeks about arbitrary deadlines that I set for myself.

Everyday, I was all about do, do, do.

But to be honest, I also have times to be in the morning when I wake up. I would try to meditate and journal and pull Rebecca Campbell's Work Your Light cards and choose my favorite crystals for the day.

For sure that was a vibe, but that was only one part of my day.

One hour out of 24 that I was just "being" and truly opening up and holding space for myself to accept myself.

But how about the remaining 23 hours (or minus an 8 hour of sleep, 15 hours)?

It was time that was spent endlessly worrying about bills and what-not. Becoming more and more irritable as the day progresses. The pressure of everyone's expectations looming overhead like an impenetrable force.

And for the remaining 15 hours, I sometimes forget the one hour I spent trying to prepare for these stresses of the day. (Click to tweet)

But the truth is, we do give ourselves a lot of leeway. We do care for ourselves more than anyone else ever can or will.

We do love ourselves still so much.

And how do I know?

Well, we could've ended up worse than what we imagined. Honestly, we could have burned ourselves to the ground trying to outwork everybody else.

And yet we remain.

We sleep and we wake up and we take showers and tend towards our activities for the day. And those things sometimes aren't appreciated enough.

Keeping ourselves alive in today's hectic world will still always be the GREATEST win there is! 🙂

I hope you keep yourself taken care of this week. I hope you get to find time to be still (even if it's just in the shower).

And if you do have any questions or anything to share, please hit reply and ask or share with me your thoughts about what a winning day looks like for you or how you can implement various ways of self-care throughout your week.

With love,

Elaine
